Today, on Wednesday 19.03.2025 Tunnelhuset got evicted.
At 5:30 in the morning, the police forcefully entered the building to remove everyone from what over the past month has become Norways’s first ‘actively protected zone’ (AVS, or ZAD). The authorities worked hand in hand with Nye Veier, the state-owned construction company that’s planning to build a highway through the Lågendelta nature reserve.
The cops broke into Tunnelhuset without prior notification to the occupants and without going through the courts first. This abuse of power is frightening. And it allows us to see how governments and companies encorce the global ecological crisis despite courageous and diverse resistance.

Nye Veier has realized that it would take too long to go through the court system and that millions would be lost. Nye Veier has also previously threatened us with illegal measures to get us out of the house. For the time being, the government is not particularly interested in laws and regulations when it comes to the destruction of nature.
Despite a reoccupation of Tunnelhuset and an occupation of one of the destruction maschines, Tunnelhuset has been demolished throughout the afternoon. Once again, the cops and those who profit on endless economic growth are trying to bury our dreams under dust and ruins. But…
the struggle for Lågendelta is far from over! We have plenty of ideas about how to block and eventually stop the construction of this monster highway. Several actions have already taken place since the eviction!
We do not accept the fact that the construction works have already begun as an excuse to continue the destruction. These is no shame in turning around. Det er ingen skam a snu!
Vern er vern! Og nar staten ikke verner, verner vi!
Lenge leve Lågendelta! See you latest at the camp in May!!
